Author: Chantanamattha Pongpan (Thailand, 1974). Title: Madrid (2006). Description: Drawing on cardboard. Measurements without frame 70x100 cm. Artwork in good condition. Pongpan Chantanamattha graduated in Fine Arts from Silkakorn University and the Academy of Fine Arts in Florence. He Artworks as a sculptor in the Department of Fine Arts of the Ministry of Culture in Thailand and in China. His Artworks are characterized by neatness in detail, as well as by the precise and careful use of tools and utensils. His figures are identified by a contained way of showing features, almost insinuating them, but without actually denying or hiding them. He does not seek hyperreality, but rather the pure concept. The duality that we find in his training between East and West is also found in his production, when in the same piece he uses materials as opposite as marble and leather, or when he contrasts hyperreal figures with surreal elements. He has exhibited in numerous places internationally.
