Javier Espigares, es un artista plástico, paisajista, figurativo, abstracto, con aires fauvistas y luministas, con un recorrido amplio, habiendo realizado numerosas exposiciones, entre ellas Tabakalera Donostia, galería Ispilu Zarautz (galería de arte abstracto contemporáneo), etc, realizando también arte en vivo, habiendo realizado talleres y máster class en algunos centros culturales y colegios y habiendo sido mencionado en periódicos del país. También ha recibido numerosos premios en concursos de pintura. Especialista en pintura acrílica y acuarela, dominando también otras técnicas y escultura.

Initially he alternated painting with work as a graphic artist, but during the seventies he abandoned this second activity. From then on he made his Artwork known, clearly affiliated with Impressionism. He died suddenly after being made a member of the Société Nationale des Beaux-Arts, in Paris.
