Joanpere Massana, a prominent Catalan artist with international projection, received the first prize for painting in 1992, organized by the Generalitat de Catalunya. His Artwork describes everything that happens in life; even the most insignificant takes on an unexpected dimension and impulse; a drop of water, the bark of the trees, the walls of the houses, of the Castillos..., he describes to us with materials at his disposal what he feels and that justifies and expresses the reason and the direct and sincere cause of why it has been acted He has had numerous exhibitions throughout Europe, with painting, sculpture, installations, drawings, engravings, video..., and his Artwork is found in the main collections of our continent.

From then on he made his Artwork known, clearly affiliated with Impressionism. He died suddenly after being made a member of the Société Nationale des Beaux-Arts, in Paris.
