Author: Ceferino Olivé Cabré (Reus, Tarragona, 1907 – Barcelona, 1995). Title: Interior of stable. Description: Watercolor signed and dated 1959. Measures without frame 49x63 cm. Measures with frame 63x78 cm. Artwork in good condition. A prominent watercolourist, Ceferino Olivé began his training with the decorator painter Antoni Fuster. He then attended courses at the Reus Municipal School of Drawing, and in 1925 he settled in Barcelona, where he Artworked as a painter, decorator and set designer, while he continued his training as a disciple of Félix Mestres at La Lonja de Barcelona. In 1931 he joined the Association of Watercolorists of Catalonia, intending to revitalize this discipline. He participated in group exhibitions and appeared solo in 1940 at the Pictòria room in Barcelona. He was awarded the Fortuny Medal, the National Watercolor Prize, the first medal at the London International Salon and at the National Railway Exhibition. It is represented in Spanish collections and in various collections in Biarritz, Geneva, New York, London and Moscow, among other cities.
