Escena de la motologia. El rescate de Angélica, Interpretación personal. Óleo en lino sobre bastidor de madera con travesaño, de medidas 114.146 cm Don Bernardo de Balbuena, montado en un hipogrifo trata de liberar a Angélica de las garras del dragón. No desea matar al animal, sino asustarlo para que suelte a la joven. Por eso lleva como arma una antorcha, ya que sabe que muchos animales tienen verdadero pánico al fuego. El hipogrifo es un ser con cuerpo de caballo con alas y cabeza de águila. En mi versión, con la intención de dar a la obra un aire de actualidad, Bernardo, luce un reloj de pulsera en la muñeca. ¡Una licencia de artista!
