Autor: Rafael Cuartielles (Barcelona 1932). Título: Sin título (2008). Descripción: Dibujo atinta china sobre papel Saunders Waterford firmado a mano en la parte derecha. Medidas sin marco 75x56 cm. Obra en perfectas condiciones. Se adjunta certificado de autenticidad emitido por la Galería de Arte Peragón. A la edad de 12 años se inicia en el mundo de la pintura instruido por Jacinto Oliver y otros artistas de la época. Posteriormente ingresa para estudiar pintura en la Acadèmia Baixas, una de las instituciones barcelonesas más importantes de la postguerra. Más tarde ingresa en la Escuela de Artes y Oficios de Barcelona (La Llotja). En 1962 marcha a París para completar sus estudios artísticos. Allí se mueve por los entornos más vanguardistas de la época y vende toda su obra hasta el momento. Más tarde regresa a Barcelona y compatibiliza su prolífica actividad artística con la docencia en la Facultad de Bellas Artes de Barcelona (1979-1998). Ha expuesto en varias ocasiones en galerías de arte de París, Miami, Japón, Italia, España..., realizó su primera exposición en 1952. Su obra ha sido valorada por multitud de críticos reconocidos como José Vallés Rovira, Francisco Galí, Vicente Amiguet, José Arnau, Juan Luis Montaner, Pere Falcó, Josep Maresme, Luis Doñate, etc. Como premios destacar de entre muchos, el Premio Excel·lentíssim Senyor Vizconde de Güell (Real Círculo Artístico de Barcelona, 1958); Premio Jordi Ferreró. (Sala Parés, 1959); Primer Premio de Pintura Medalla de plata Cercle Artístic de Sant Lluc (1960); Primer Premio de Pintura de la Diputación de Barcelona que le reportó una beca para continuar estudios en la Escuela Superior de Bellas Artes de París (1962); Concurso Joan Miró de dibujo (1984) que fue presentado en tres capitales Japonesas; y el más reciente, Primer Premio de Pintura (Bellas Arts Sant Jordi) dels Països Catalans, Fundació Perelló (2005). Gran parte de su obra es patrimonio de muchos coleccionistas de todo el mundo.
