RICO AMADOR, Jaime (Pamplona, 1978). “Desierto vertical 5”(2013). Técnica mixta (acrílico, transfer y acuarela) sobre tabla DM. Tabla montada en bastidor de 4,5cm. acabado en blanco y firmado en el ángulo inferior derecho. Cuenta con certificado de autenticidad. Medidas: 122 x 56 x 4,5cm. Jaime Rico Amador se licenció en Bellas Artes en la Universidad Complutense de Madrid (2004). Obtuvo grado medio en la Escuela nacional de arte Villa Arson, Niza. En 2010 fue galardonado con el Premio de pintura Villa de Aoiz. Sin contar las maravillosas exposiciones de los últimos años, destacamos las celebradas en las galerías Mdv (2012) y Mala Madrid (2010), en la Ormolú de Pamplona (2006, 2008, 2010), Artevistas de Barcelona (2008), Nave 10 de Valencia (2008), Entre las colectivas citamos las celebradas en la galería Paz Feliz de Madrid (2011), Muz-Martínez de Alicante (2011) y Ormulú (2011), etc. En las ciudades postindustriales las telarañas globales de redes y circuitos conviven con mastodóntica arquitectura industrial. Jaime Rico Amador reflexiona sobre la desorientación del transeúnte inmerso en junglas de acero y fibra óptica. A ello dedicada cada una de sus series pictóricas: en unas incide en los flujos humanos, otras están dedicadas a los niños, otras repasan la estética post-apocalíptica que nos brindaron películas míticas. La suma de todas ellas ofrece una visión poliédrica del entorno urbano. En sus pinturas, el pasado deja una pátina indeleble sobre un presente que se construye día a día, y denota una fiebre constructiva que encubre esa desconfianza en el porvenir. Ello se aprecia en este “Desierto vertical” donde andamios y grúas se impregnan de mohosa polución, y las figuras diminutas fugan hacía un vacío sin horizonte. A pesar de escenificar megalópolis distópicas, las pinturas de Rico Amador son extrañamente cálidas y poéticas porque nos hablan de la memoria sensitiva del espacio.
