Autor: Santiago Martínez Martín (Villaverde del Río, Sevilla, 1890 - Sevilla, 1979). Título: Campesina de Montehermoso (1917). Descripción: óleo sobre lienzo firmado en Montehermoso en el ángulo inferior derecho. Medidas sin marco 104x80 cm. Enmarcado. Este cuadro fue premio y medalla de oro de la exposición regional de Huelva de 1918. Expuesta en el Museo de Cáceres en la exposición "Extremadura en la mirada de Sorolla 1917-2017". Obra en buenas condiciones. En esta obra del pintor Santiago Martinez Martin, discípulo favorito de Joaquín Sorolla, aparece una mujer posando con el traje tradicional llevando de tocado una gorra de espejo sobre el fondo de la ciudad de Plasencia y el Puente de San Lázaro. La modelo del cuadro es Matilde Galindo Carpintero, que aparece sentada en la imagen con la mano izquierda en la cadera y en la derecha portando un pañuelo. Esta obra está fechada en 1917, posiblemente cuando Sorolla estuvo en esta ciudad para pintar una de sus obras más admiradas de los catorce lienzos que componen la colección “Visiones de España” que realizó para The Hispanic Society of America (New York) por encargo de Archer Milton Huntington su fundador. En una de las fotos podemos ver al artista en pleno proceso creativo y al lado posando para la cámara, Marcelina Domínguez Garrido, Isabel Galindo y la niña Fructuosa Sánchez Garrido.     Author: Antoni Munill i Puig (Barcelona, 1939 - 1977). Title: Portrait (1974). Description: watercolor on paper signed and dated 74 on the right margin. Measurements without frame 32x23 cm. Measurements with frame 46x33 cm. Artwork in good condition with signs of age. He trained in Barcelona, at Llotja (1952-57), and in Paris. Initially he alternated painting with work as a graphic artist, but during the seventies he abandoned this second activity. From then on he made his Artwork known, clearly affiliated with Impressionism. He died suddenly after being made a member of the Société Nationale des Beaux-Arts, in Paris.
