ADAM, Fernando (Caracas, 1955). “Zen sillas”, 2007. Acrílico y collage sobre tela. Adjunta certificado de autenticidad, dimensiones: 100 x 40 cm. Fernando Adam estudia arte y diseño en el Instituto Neumann de Caracas. Desde su participación en la Bienal de Dibujo organizada en el Museo Alejandro Otero de Caracas (1988) y en el Museo de Arte Contemporáneo de Maracay (1989) sus exposiciones en su país y en el extranjero, en individuales y colectivas, han sido constantes. Celebró su primera individual en la galería Minotauro de Caracas (1991). Actualmente trabaja y reside en Barcelona. En los últimos años ha participado en las ferias: Palm Beach 3 , Contemporary Art Fair (Galería Mark Hachem. USA); Art Madrid (Galeria Jordi Barnadas), Chicago Art Fair (Galería Mark Hachem .Chicago), Art London (Mark Hachem Gallery), Istambul Art Fair, MIART Feria Contemporánea de Arte; AAF Autum NY (Galeria V. del Art Gallery), New York; Art Miami (Galería Mark Hachem), Feria de Arte Glasgow; FIA , Feria Iberoamericana de Arte (Galería 39, Caracas), RED DOT Art Fair (Miami), MiArt. Galería Jordi Barnadas. Milán... Ha celebrado reiteradas individuales con la galería parisina Mark Hachem Gallery y con Jordi Barnadas de Barcelona. En 2002 recibió 1er Premio “Mercedes Benz”, A. Prints. Barcelona; en 2007 fue seleccionado para el Salón Michetti (“Nuovo Realismo”), Fundación Michetti. Chieti, Italia.”Giro al compás” simula una casa desplegable que gira al compás de los sucesos. Flora mientras la atmósfera cambia, busca sutilmente ser en un lugar. Esta pintura, que forma parte de una serie de cuatro pinturas, es representativa de las preocupaciones recientes sobre las que ha reincidido Adam: el sentido de permanencia tiende a espumarse en una época en que todo asentamiento es eventual. Adam reflexiona sobre ello con una pintura de cariz metafísico, de sosegadas atmósferas a la par que perturbadoras.
