  • David Murcia García: SN10 Archeology of what I hide.

This Artwork of abstract art, produced by David Murcia in 2018, is done on a canvas dominated by whites and desaturated tones, creating an aura of introspective tranquility. At first glance, it appears entirely abstract, but upon closer inspection, subtly interwoven figurative elements emerge that evoke popular culture, indie music, and jazz. These components serve as portals to deeper discussions of identity, seen through the lenses of media, music, and film. Each brush stroke and texture invites viewers to reflect on how these elements shape and reflect our self-perception and understanding of the world around us. It is a quintessentially British approach to combining the abstract with the figurative, inviting a contemplation of identity through the cultural touchstones of music and film.
