Ángel Planells (1898-1981) was a prominent Spanish modernist painter, born in Barcelona, known for his skill in the use of color and light in his Artworks, which include landscapes, portraits and still lifes. Planells, who was a contemporary of Salvador Dalí, shared with him the artistic environment of the time, although his approach was more aligned with modernism than with the surrealism of the famous painter from Figueras. His vibrant and expressive style reflects his influence on modern art in Spain.
