Anna Tamayo Ymbert (Barcelona, 1971) studied at IDEP and has specialized in oil painting and encaustic techniques. She has also trained as an art critic and writer of art texts at the Sotheby’s Art Institute. Her studies are validated at the university level after passing the university entrance exams (PAU 2021/2022) through the Pau Casals adult education center. She has maintained a continuous exhibition career since 1995, with solo and group exhibitions in various cities. These include shows at the Ramón Vila Gallery (Sitges, Puigcerdà, and Maó), El Corte Inglés in Vigo, Galerie Artitude (Paris), Galerie Pirámide (Berlin), Galería Masters Art and Galería Art Windows (Barcelona), as well as Galería Art Bubble (Sant Cugat/Rubí). It is worth noting her participation in ten editions of L’Hipermerc’Art at the Sala Vinçon in Barcelona, where her Artwork was selected. Her Artwork is part of public and private collections, most notably the permanent exhibition of her Artwork at the Santander campus of the European University of the Atlantic. She has been selected and awarded prizes in various painting competitions, such as those organized by the Torrelameu City Council (Lleida) and the Sanvisens and Pere Jou competitions (Sitges). In addition to her artistic production, she has collaborated with media outlets and written texts for gallery catalogs and specialized magazines. Among her collaborations are publications such as Tot Sant Cugat, Tot Rubí, Diari de Rubí, and the magazine Bonart Cultural. She currently teaches oil painting in her studio in Rubí, where she also develops her own painting Artwork. Also relevant is his Artwork as a scribe in the Book of Hours of Pilar Almagro, a Artwork transcribed by hand with Chinese ink and illustrated by the artist Jaume Muxart.
