Bruno Antony (1962) was born in Rouen, France.
His artistic Artwork is a personal expression, composed of symbols and intense colors, freely inspired by comics and Pop Art. His creations fall within the Free Figuration movement, although in his recent Artworks, Bruno Antony does not hesitate to distance himself from it, giving greater prominence to gesture and spontaneity. His contrasting paintings play with the interaction between vibrant colors and broad black lines, the conscious and the unconscious, memories and emotions, in a graphic style that is both meticulous and liberating. This constant duality in his paintings undoubtedly reflects his trajectory and personality.
"I am free to express myself, to think, to remember; I feel that I only truly exist if I always possess this capacity to invent, to reinvent myself."
Sensitive to volume and color, Bruno Antony constantly challenges himself by regularly appropriating new spaces and media, and provoking unexpected encounters. His Artworks combine autobiographical elements with allusions to current events.
Bruno Antony lives and Artworks in Angers, France.
