Author: Antoni Gelabert i Casas (Barcelona, 1911 - Barcelona, 1980). Title: Prova d'artista. Description: Engraving on paper made in 1955 by the Barcelona artist Antoni Gelabert i Casas. Measurements without frame 41x33 cm. Artwork with damage to the paper. He excelled in woodcuts. Author of some three hundred bookplates and bibliophile books, such as the Book of the Virgin of Montserrat (1962), The Seven Deadly Sins (1963), Stories of the Witches of Altafulla (1971) and Dolls and couplets (1972). He was a teacher of artistic pedagogy and creator of the engraving schools Xiloforum, in Altafulla, and the Torre de la Viruta, in Torredembarra.
