Author: Arnold Newman - Photographer (NYC 1918 - NYC 2006). Title: "Marilyn Monroe, Beverly Hills" (1962). Original photograph, on baryta paper, signed in the lower right corner, corresponding to a series of 15 photos taken by the author in January 1962, seven months before Marilyn's death, during a party in Beverly Hills at the home of his friend Henry Weinstein. Measurements with frame: 56 x 45 cm. Measurements without frame: 38 x 22 cm. Artwork in good condition, not examined outside of the frame.

A large-format Cubist composition featuring a grand piano, cello, violin, trumpet, French horn, and guitar, alongside scores by Beethoven and Chopin, on a checkered floor in white and gray. The artist breaks down the instruments into overlapping geometric planes of vibrant colors (ochres, golds, grays, and reds), in a pictorial homage to music and Synthetic Cubism.
