I see the world a bit like one sees the incredible. This vibrant world, inhabited by the living and the dead, fueled by passions, fragile in its incarnation, powerful in its regeneration, its adaptability. Drama rubs shoulders with joy, ambition with courage, the sublime with the everyday. Poetry is there, in these interstices. It's the cry. It's the song. The brilliance of the moment that sheds its conventions, its certainties. The world is multiple. A matter of perception. It depends on my gaze, my attention, my expectations. There are as many worlds as there are beings. The world of the desert man is measured differently from the world of the man of New York. They don't invoke the same gods, they don't claim the same hopes. Sometimes they unite in emotion, like a comet crossing the night. Painting is a comet. "The beauty of life, the energy of life, do not reside in the mind, but in matter." J.M.G. Le Clézio, material ecstasy. My Artwork supports are first nourished by materials, then become fields of exploration and encounter. The subject, whether drawn or not, is reinvented in these combinations of forms, opens new paths of reflection and emotion, provokes immediacy and is amplified...
