This still life (English School). With a bouquet of flowers, oil on canvas, 76 x 32 cm, framed with a total dimensions of 98 x 58 cm, mounted on canvas-covered cardboard. This Artwork belongs to the genre of floral still life, widely cultivated in early 20th-century English painting. It depicts a bouquet of flowers on a well-defined base, where different species are combined, creating a composition rich in color and texture. The painting stands out for its compositional balance and the contrast between the warm tones of the flowers—reds, pinks, and whites—and the dark, neutral background, which enhances the volume and luminosity of the whole. The brushArtwork is detailed in the petals and leaves, revealing the artist's interest in the direct observation of nature. This type of composition emerged when many painters returned to the floral theme as an exercise in technical virtuosity and a study of light and color. In this case, the Artwork conveys a sense of elegance and delicacy, making the floral arrangement the true protagonist of the scene.
