In this Artwork, I interpret a rugged ravine with a Mediterranean essence, where nature manifests itself in all its strength and authenticity. The steep relief, sculpted by the passage of time, becomes the stage for an intense dialogue between light and shadow. The vibrant contrasts not only define the landscape, but I also intend them to convey its energy, its silence, and its untamed character. The loose and expressive brushstrokes seek to move beyond a mere literal representation in order to capture the emotion of the place. Furthermore, the intense luminosity highlights the forms of the mountains, while the deep shadows lend mystery and depth, inviting the viewer to visually explore every corner of the ravine and discover the beauty that arises from the balance between the harshness of the terrain and the intensity of the light.

    En este cuadro he querido representar la plaza de Linköping en un atardecer de verano, captando el momento en el que se transforma bajo la luz cálida del atardecer estival propiciando un escenario de intensa vitalidad cromática. Los colores saturados acentúan la expresividad de la escena y convierten la realidad cotidiana en una experiencia visual vibrante en la que la luz adquiere un protagonismo esencial. La composición recoge la atmósfera singular de una tarde de verano sueca, cuando el sol, próximo al horizonte, baña los espacios y las arquitecturas con tonalidades intensas, creando contrastes que enriquecen la percepción del paisaje urbano.     In this canvas, I wanted to depict a Mediterranean mountain landscape featuring a pine forest reflected in the tranquil waters of a small lake. The lake's surface reproduces the trees' silhouettes in a play of reflections that doubles the presence of the forest. Nature thus becomes the protagonist of a composition where the verticality of the trees finds its counterpoint in the horizontal stillness of the water. Through figurative representation, the painting explores the visual richness of the landscape and the relationship between its elements, creating a dialogue between the solidity of the vegetation and the delicacy of its reflected image. The chromatic contrasts and the play of light contribute to giving depth and vitality to the scene, inviting the viewer to pause and consider the nuances and variations that transform the perception of nature. Beyond the representation of a specific environment, the Artwork proposes a contemplative gaze upon the landscape. The water acts as a mirror that reveals another dimension of the forest, an image suspended between reality and its pictorial interpretation.
