«...I am a sculptor, painter, photographer, engraver, ceramist, fundamentally a draftsman...I do not conceive plastic activity without drawing, without the conception of the idea in drawing. I have always felt the need to express myself by drawing: comics, illustrations, portraits, landscapes... everything... I remember drawing at school, imagining scenes and situations in front of a piece of paper. Flash Gordon, spaceship wars, explosions; caricatures, etc...They are my first memories of an activity that has been, that has become what I have always sought, the one that has conditioned my life, art. I think I have always lived based on artistic Artwork; Painting, drawing, photography, sculpting, everything has been the product of great curiosity...I was satisfied to look for other paths that always and inevitably led me to other techniques...With them I expanded my knowledge about plastic arts, although I have always I knew how to detach myself from the demands of technique, which would collapse my desires or my creativity. My Artwork is the product of an experience of many years, above all of intensity, of desire to live the knowledge of art...For this I have not deprived myself of anything, I have studied, I have meditated and I have written about art... At the same time I have carried out artistic practice at the same time. Many exhibitions in Spain and Italy, where I stayed for four years, studying and Artworking...I am used to creating series of Artworks that respond to a certain idea, a material or a concept...Here is part of that life, specific examples of a job that has often been the development of a dream, the giving meaning to a passion. The art... " Eduardo Lastres, born in 1946, lives and Artworks in Alicante (Spain) > The Certificate of Authenticity is signed by the Artist. The Drawing is signed and dated by the artist. His Artworks have been exhibited in countries including Spain, France, Italy, Portugal, the Netherlands, Romania, Bulgaria, Russia, China, Japan, the USA, Brazil, Argentina, etc. (THE JOURNEYS OF A CREATOR). The paths and experiences that led him to this world of abstract art began unexpectedly. After years painting landscapes and figurative oil paintings, that moment was a ray of light, a spark of passion and enthusiasm, filled with thoughts and daydreams of expressing what chance, at times, flows through your mind with a sense of indifference. Motivation, sacrifice, and perseverance are necessary to achieve your own identity and allow you to visualize the unknown and profound inner world in order to transmit the gestural and informal magic onto the canvas, board, or paper. of a modus operandi that characterizes him. The creation of his Artworks allows him to communicate a style of influential sensations capable of attracting the viewer. My artistic journey began in the early 1980s with a strong inclination towards landscape painting and the use of oil paint, representing natural scenes with precision and sensitivity. This approach was focused on capturing the beauty of the environment through a figurative and technical language. Over time, I experienced an evolution in my style, moving away from realism to delve into abstract art. This change allowed me to free my creativity from formal limitations, exploring forms, colors, and textures that do not respond to a literal representation of the world, but rather to a more intimate and emotional reflection of my thoughts and perceptions. In abstraction, I found a freer and more personal medium to express what flows through my mind, allowing my emotions, ideas, and inner visions to take shape without restrictions. This transition marked a new stage in my Artwork, where gesture, spontaneity, and intuition became the protagonists. The content of this expression is the humble reflection of an abstract mind.
