Author: Ana Moledo Martinez Title: The Yellow Forest Year: 2021 Technique: Acrylic on cardboard Measurements: 51 X41cm This work was made after living an experience that I relate. the yellow forest When I was a "rapaciña" I spent the summer at my grandparents' house, until almost October, which was the celebration of the last pilgrimage. The pilgrimage of San Campio. (San Orente de Einsteins, Outes) the boys and girls, we dressed in the typical costume, crossing the shortcuts and "caminiños" with the skirts puffed out by the petticoats, the openwork stockings of fine thread, and the clogs, "zoquiñas de madeira" to cross in case it rained in the yellow forest, which I named for its wonderful ocher, red, dark green, and yellow colors, became a dream forest, we stepped on that mantle between reddish by the fallen leaves and the remains of changing green tones as they were dyed at the beginning fall. With pale pink cheeks and full of smiles, we told scary stories "de bruxas e meigas do campoanto" and ditties to the beat of the church bells, that's how we went all the way, full of joy and joviality, surrounded by thorny challengers so tall like "cruceiros" and tiny rainbows floated in the air, when the rays of light broke against the drops of water they slipped through the branches of the morning orball, and "the bolboretas jumping between them" thus forming the magic of a lively forest , that by stepping on the violet bells as we walk, we return to form a new path every year.
