Autor: Hugo Pistilli ( Asunción, Paraguay 1940-2006). Título: Isla negra. Descripción: escultura en hierro pintado realizado en 2000 por el artista paraguayo Hugo Pistilli. Medidas 36x18x10 cm. Se adjunta certificado de autenticidad. Obra en buen estado de conservación. Pintor y escultor. Estudió en la Escuela de Bellas Artes, en la que se desempeñò como Profesor de Escultura. Expone en forma individual por primera vez en 1970, desde entonces la escultura de Pistilli ha pasado por casi todos los estadios de la llamada escultura moderna. Su obra, en ese sentido, ha evolucionado constantemente y, nunca se ha estancado en un estilo fácil. Pistilli transforma las varillas de duro hierro en ágiles diseños, muchas veces altamente líricos lo que hace que se lo conozca como el "Poeta del Metal" y es considerado por la crítica como uno de los grandes escultores de su país y de América Latina por su fuerte temática de trasfondo social. En el años 1981 expone el conjunto escultórico "Afganistán", inspirado en la tragedia de dicho pueblo y cuya tónica son las expresiones que activan las manos.Fue presidente de la Asociación de Amigos del Arte, período 1998-2000, miembro del Instituto Cultural Paraguayo Israelí y del Instituto Cultural Paraguayo Chileno.Ha realizado 30 exposiciones individuales en Paraguay, participó en Bienales de Quito-Ecuador, Valparaíso-Chile, Sao Paulo-Brasil. Muere en La Asunción el pasado año (2006)
