J.A. Amate. “Quasi-Impossible Landscape” (2024). Mixed media on 300g Canson paper. Dimensions: 41 x 29 cm. This Artwork is created with a two-plane composition, in which the artist combines imagined colors and subtle tonal variations. A central line, acting as a horizon, structures the scene and provides a sense of depth, while the lines parallel to the ground, with color gradients, reinforce the different planes within the whole. The apparent simplicity of the Artwork conceals a complex execution, where visual clarity becomes a pictorial challenge. It is presented in a basic black frame.
