Artist: Jaume Muxart (Martorell, 1922 - Barcelona, 2019). Title: Blue Halo. Description: Oil on canvas, painted in 2006 by the artist Jaume Muxart. Dimensions without frame: 100 x 73 cm. Certificate of authenticity included. ArtArtwork in good condition. Jaume Muxart was a prominent Catalan painter with national and international renown. He exhibited for the first time at the Sala Pictòria in Barcelona. In 1948, he participated in the National Exhibition of Fine Arts in Madrid and traveled to Paris on a scholarship from the École Nationale Supérieure des Beaux-Arts. In 1955, along with Marc Aleu, Modest Cuixart, Josep Guinovart, Jordi Mercadé, Antoni Tàpies, and Joan-Josep Tharrats, he formed the Taüll group. Doctor of Fine Arts, Dean of the Faculty of Fine Arts at the University of Barcelona, and Member of the Royal Catalan Academy of Fine Arts of Sant Jordi. His painting is based on color, texture, and form, and his Artwork has been highly influential in Catalan and Spanish art, placing great importance on the art of painting itself. In 2010, the former Casa Par in Martorell was renovated and the Muxart Museum was built, housing the artist's Artwork. A recipient of numerous awards, throughout his prolific artistic career he has held many exhibitions both in Spain and abroad, and he participated in the 5th São Paulo Biennial representing Spain.
