Javier ESPIGARES: "Fuenterrabia" 2021-2026

Attention! Start session for bidding for this lot.

Suggested Title: FUENTERRABIA, 2021/2026 Technique: Acrylic on panel Dimensions: 100 x 81 cm Year: 2026 Description: The Artwork unfolds an urban scene charged with atmosphere and evocation, where traditional architecture becomes the protagonist of a moment suspended in time. A cobblestone street gently ascends towards a monumental arch that acts as a threshold between shadow and light, inviting the viewer to cross into the unknown. The artist constructs the space through a masterful interplay of contrasts: the warm ochres and golds of the facades converse with the deep blues and damp shadows of the pavement, creating a visual tension that lends depth and dynamism. The brushstrokes, loose yet decisive, suggest more than they describe, allowing the eye to fill in the details and lose itself in the vibrant texture of the walls and balconies. Small touches of color—the lit flowerpots, the hinted vegetation—bring life and warmth to the scene, humanizing a seemingly silent environment. Light, the undisputed protagonist, filters and bounces, marking the rhythm of the composition and guiding the eye toward the central arch, a symbol of passage, memory, and mystery. This piece represents not only a place, but an emotion: the feeling of walking through streets steeped in history, where every stone and every shadow holds invisible stories. A Artwork of great narrative and aesthetic power, ideal for collectors seeking contemporary painting with a classic soul and urban sensibility. It is made with high-quality materials, and shipping will be fast and secure.

  • Muz-Martínez: "Threshold of Presence" - Series: Thresholds" (2026)

Threshold of Presence Series: Thresholds 100x73 Muz-Martínez In Threshold of Presence, Muz-Martínez places us in that suspended instant between the visible and the intangible, where the figure seems to emerge and dissolve simultaneously. The Artwork is constructed from a constant tension between matter and emptiness, between gesture and silence. The face, barely suggested, does not seek to define itself but rather to be implied, as if it belonged to a liminal space where identity has not yet fully revealed itself. The layers of color, applied with a restrained yet firm gestural style, generate an emotional depth that transcends the purely formal. The composition breathes through subtle contrasts and glazes that invite the viewer to approach, to complete the image from their own perception. There is no closed narrative, but an open experience: a journey towards the essential. This Artwork is part of the Thresholds series, where the artist investigates the limits between the figurative and the abstract, proposing spaces for reflection in which presence is not affirmed, but rather intuited.
