Joan Granados Llimona was a prominent artist born in Barcelona in 1931 and died in Sant Joan les Fonts in 2005. Biography: After the Spanish Civil War, Joan's family went into exile in France. However, over time, they returned to Catalonia, specifically to Sant Joan les Fonts, where Joan began his drawing studies. From an early age, he displayed a great talent for drawing. In 1947, he studied drawing with Martí Casadevall, a professor at the Escola de Belles Arts d'Olot. Over the following years, he explored the world of art, focusing on landscapes and human anatomy. Between 1949 and 1951, he studied in various artist studios in Barcelona and Olot, earning a degree in Applied Arts from the Llotja de Barcelona. From then on, his artistic career was marked by numerous exhibitions both in Spain and abroad. Recognitions and Awards: Throughout his career, Joan received numerous recognitions and awards. Some of the most notable include the Second Prize in the Sports in Fine Arts Award in Madrid, First Prize in Drawing at the Andorran Museum, and two Gold and two Silver Medals in the Girona Provincial Competition.
