Joan Miró (1893-1983). Pelaires Gallery. This is a contemporary Artwork created by Joan Miró in 1970. Mixed media lithograph on Guarro paper. Hand-signed in the lower right margin. Numbered PA (artist's proof) in the lower left corner. The Artwork was created for the Artist's Exhibition held at the Pelaires Gallery in Palma de Mallorca in 1970. Edition of 75 copies plus PA. Stamped Sala Gaspar when backlit. Reference: Joan Miró Lithographe IV 1969-1972, Maeght Editeur. p. 82 n. 684 and Sala Gaspar 117. This is a reserved proof outside the commercial edition, which gives it a particularly unique character within the graphic production of the Artwork. The composition is fully inscribed within Miró's mature language of the late 1960s and early 1970s, with its characteristic symbolic universe: free-flowing signs, a balance between gesture and empty space, and a visual poetics where line and color function as autonomous elements of expression. Dimensions (without frame): 76 x 56 cm. Condition: good, with normal signs of age, consistent with the age of the paper, without compromising the aesthetic quality or the integrity of the Artwork. A piece of considerable interest due to its avant-garde nature and its A.A. status, making it especially attractive to collectors and scholars of Joan Miró's graphic Artwork.
