  • Eduardo Arranz-Bravo and Rafael Bartolozzi: 'Untitled', lithograph 97/125

Original lithograph signed by the artists Bartolozzi (1943 - 2009) and Arranz-Bravo (1941). Artwork from 1973, with an edition of 150 copies. Overall dimensions: 74 cm x 55 cm. Image dimensions: 64 x 50 cm. In good condition with small moisture defects on the bottom, not very visible as a whole. Frameless. Numbered 97/125 and hand-signed in pencil. Bartolozzi, for example, like Arranz-Bravo and other artists, subscribed to the recovery of figuration and pop art, a movement of which he was one of the most significant Spanish artists. Abstraction, informalism, and the conceptual and objectual aspect were also common to both, with the particularities, interests and searches of each artist. Both artists collaborated for just over a decade. A significant example of their joint Artwork is the mural painting of the entire Tipell factory (2000 square meters, considered the largest Artwork of pop-art in Europe, and the most iconic in Spain - photo at the end photo: Fundació Arranz-Bravo) . The lithography corresponds to their periods - which together with other artists marked a turning point in Spanish contemporary art, and which we could call new figuration and neo-surrealism, and new transgressions, and approach to pop-art -, typical of the collaboration of these artists between the 60s and 70s, after their individual immersion in abstraction and experimentation. After their close collaboration, both continued their careers, and currently have Artwork in major contemporary art museums.

  • Eduardo Arranz-Bravo: “Granollers, fulla baixa IV”

Original lithograph signed and numbered 20/125 in pencil by the artist Eduardo Arranz-Bravo (1941 – 2023), published in the Sala Gaspar Collection, 1973. He is situated in art-pop, neo-figurativism, surrealism and new avant-garde. In any case, he is one of the most representative artists of the art of the second half of the 20th century. One of his most significant Artworks, as a result of the union with Rafael Bartolozzi (1943 – 2009), both strategic and plastic, was the one carried out in the Tipel tanning factory (1971), at the foot of the highway. Painted in its entirety, there are 2,000 square meters of surface, with very bright colors, very pure, very “pop”. Iconic Artwork (penultimate photos; last photo, Eduardo Arranz-Bravo, in his studio), considered at the time by the British press as the largest art-pop Artwork in Europe. In 2019, the Artwork was restored by Arranz-Bravo himself. The lithograph was published in the Sala Gaspar Collection, 1973 (last photo, not included). With some signs of time, small barely visible stains, it is in very good condition. Overall: 73cm x 55cm. Image: 69 cm x 50 cm, on high quality white paper.
