Obra en buenas condiciones. Joaquim Hidalgo se desarrolla artísticamente en el campo del dibujo y de la pintura. Sin tener una formación académica, Hidalgo comienza con una etapa de apuntalamiento técnico y estudio de la tradición figurativa, atravesando diversas etapas de experimentación. Su obra se caracteriza por un intimismo acentuado de contenido expresionista. Retrata figuras humanas, sobre todo femeninas, paisajes y naturalezas muertas, llegando a recrear situaciones cotidianas de hoy y de siempre, con una paleta austera pero llena de calidez plástica, que es la que le ha dado fama internacional, haciéndole merecedor de galardones importantes y que su obra esté repartida en importantes museos dentro y fuera del país.
