José Antonio Pineda Bueno: Artist Profile Biography and Education Birth and Education José Antonio Pineda Bueno was born in Motril, Granada, on August 5, 1950. From a very young age, he showed an inclination toward drawing, studying at the Motril School of Fine Arts, then continuing his training in Catalonia. At 21, he established himself as an illustrator while Artworking in Barcelona. Professional Beginnings He began as an illustrator for children's and young adult publications, excelling in publishing and comics. In 1987, he decided to dedicate himself fully to painting. Style and Recurring Themes Pineda Bueno is considered one of the leading figures of contemporary Impressionism in Spain. His Artworks portray elegant women with parasols on beaches or in Mediterranean gardens, playing with a bright palette, loose brushstrokes, and light and color as the protagonists. He is inspired by figures such as Van Gogh, Sorolla, Picasso, Velázquez, and Titian.
