Pep AGUT estudia en la Facultad de Bellas Artes de Sant Jordi de la Universidad de Barcelona (1979-84). Inicia su trayectoria como pintor, condición a la que no ha renunciado, a pesar de la absorción hacia el conceptualismo y el minimalismo de los años ’60 que ha tenido su obra. En los años ’80 se centra en una pintura abstracta auto-reflexiva, retomando planteamientos materialistas del Support-Surface e incorporando elementos del foto-collage. Agut avanza en el desarrollo de sus proyectos hacia grandes instalaciones. Posteriormente, retoma la fotografía con superposición de textos y superficies reflectantes, que nos remiten a trabajos conceptuales de Dan Graham y Michelangelo Pistoletto. Su faceta artística se combina con la participación en debates, seminarios y conferencias, habiéndole permitido ambas cosas ser conocido a nivel nacional e internacional.

Certificate of authenticity is attached. Artwork in good condition. Pep Agut studied at the Faculty of Fine Arts of Sant Jordi at the University of Barcelona (1979-84). He began his career as a painter, a condition that he has not renounced, despite the absorption into conceptualism and minimalism of the 1960s that his Artwork has had. In the 1980s, he focused on a self-reflexive abstract painting, taking up the materialist approaches of the Support-Surface and incorporating elements of photo-collage. Agut advances in the development of its projects towards large facilities. Subsequently, he returns to photography with superimposition of texts and reflective surfaces, which refer us to conceptual Artworks by Dan Graham and Michelangelo Pistoletto. His artistic facet is combined with participation in debates, seminars and conferences, both of which have allowed him to be known nationally and internationally.
