Author: Josep Guinovart i Bertran (Barcelona 1927–2007). Title: The Hole of the Fish. Description: Mixed media, collage on canvas, created in 2002 by the artist Josep Guinovart. Dimensions without frame: 71 x 87 cm. Certificate of authenticity included. ArtArtwork in good condition. Josep Guinovart was a painter, draftsman, and engraver. He studied at the Llotja School and the Fomento de Artes Decorativas in Barcelona. In 1953, he won a scholarship from the French Institute to travel to Paris. Upon his return to Barcelona, and after a period Artworking on illustrations and set designs, he became interested in abstract art. His unconventional Artwork almost constantly uses three-dimensional elements, most of it large-format, and its evolution has been unstoppable, the result of a lucid inspiration linked to all his experiences. In 1994, the Espai Guinovart Foundation and Museum were inaugurated in Agramunt, a town to which he feels a strong connection through his mother's side. His Artwork is known worldwide, and he has held numerous exhibitions. His pieces are also found in major museums and public and private collections around the globe.
