"Pasiphae", Artwork by the artist Lídia Vives, photographed in 2019. This is a limited run of 1/5, printed on FineArt Baryta Hahnemühle paper in the year 2024, measuring 42cm x 60cm with a 2cm white margin on each side. The state of conservation is excellent. The Artwork is delivered without a frame. Both the numbering and the signature are found in the lower white margin of the photograph, on the front. It is delivered signed and numbered, as well as with a certificate of authenticity. The Artwork is sent in a tube or in a rigid envelope depending on the destination. The package includes cotton gloves to touch the Artwork and a signed postcard. ***** THE HISTORY: In the realm of Greek mythology, Pasiphae was a complex figure whose destiny was intertwined with love, desire, and destiny. She was the wife of King Minos of Crete and the daughter of Helios, the sun god, and the Oceanid nymph Perse. Her lineage connected her to both the divine and mortal worlds, setting the stage for a tale of unparalleled consequences. Pasiphae's story takes a dramatic turn when Poseidon, the god of the sea, influenced her heart. His emotions became a passion he could not control, an infatuation that knew no limits. It was during this time that Pasiphae conceived a plan born of love and madness. Desiring union with a sacred bull, Pasiphae devised an intricate device that allowed her to fulfill her forbidden desires. This act of transcendent passion gave rise to the birth of a creature that would shape his legacy: the Minotaur. This half-human, half-bull being became the embodiment of his choices, destined to bring both tragedy and meaning to his lineage. The Minotaur, with his insatiable appetite for human flesh, forced King Minos to build the labyrinth in which he was trapped. And so Pasiphae's choices stretched across the years, casting a shadow over her family and the kingdom of Crete. The story of Pasiphae is a reminder of the intricate web woven by love, desire and destiny in the world of Greek mythology. The photograph captures a moment of transformation and complexity, embodying the layers of its narrative for you to contemplate and connect with across time and space. ***** ABOUT THE ARTIST: Lídia Vives (born 1991 in Spain) is a photographer and visual artist based in Barcelona. His Artwork has been published in magazines such as Esquire and Vogue Italia, and exhibited in numerous galleries, fairs and museums around the world, including the Louvre in Paris and the Saatchi Gallery in London. Since her first exhibition in 2013, Lídia has traveled around the world presenting her Artwork and has received several international awards, including gold medals at the Trierenberg Super Circuit in 2018, the Fine Art Photographer of the Year award at the Monochrome Awards in 2021 and Professional Photographer of the Year 2021 at the MUSE Photography Awards. In addition to his diverse artistic career, he also gave a TEDxTalk talk titled "The Art of the New Generations," in which he delved into the distinctions between artists and artificial intelligence. In this talk, he shared his unique perspectives on creativity, emotional connection, and human uniqueness in the art world. In addition to her Artwork as an advertising and fashion photographer, Lídia sells her art to collectors, decorators and architects. Inspired by Italian Renaissance and Baroque artists, as well as her contemporaries, Lidia's Artwork is characterized by her use of color and a pictorial environment to explore current issues. In his personal projects, he occasionally incorporates self-portraits. His photographs are also known to contain hidden Easter eggs, inviting viewers to explore his Artwork deeper and discover all its secrets.

    Author: Daniel Argimon (Barcelona, 1929–1996). Title: Untitled (1991). Description: Mixed media on canvas. Certificate of authenticity is attached. Measures without frame 73x60 cm. Artwork in good condition. Considered one of the most important artists of Catalan informalist painting. His beginnings date back to 1952, when he began Artworking as an engraver and stamper in his grandfather's Artworkshop, which allowed him to familiarize himself with the techniques of an artistic trade that he will always hold in high esteem. In 1965 he went to Paris to improve his Artwork with lithography, receiving a scholarship from the French Institute of Barcelona. He graduated from the "Llotja" in Barcelona and Artworks as a professor of lithography at the Conservatory of Book Arts. He was also a drawing teacher at the French Lyceum. In 1983 he graduated in Fine Arts at the University of Barcelona. From the primary expressionism, he is adopting more and more an informal language, initiating a process of valuing the material that leads him to an expressionist informalism. His Artworks are found in different museums and collections in Europe and America.

He has been professionally dedicated to the field of music and painting since 1999. His artistic work has been awarded nationally and he has exhibited painting and engraving in various nationalities in Europe and Africa, including Barcelona, Wiesbaden, Karlsruhe , A Coruña, Madrid, Vigo and Tanger the most recent. His work is represented at the Bancaja Foundation (winner of the 2011 Bancaja National Award), and at the Mataró Museum, among other entities and private collections. He currently works with various musicians, mainly Toti Soler, Marc Parrot and Dídac Rocher, and is involved in various projects within jazz and experimental music. He has made several records with Lluís Llach, Duquende, Soma Planet, and has recorded music for various radio and television projects.
