Born in 1974 in Dinan, Doud lives and works in Brittany. Loic Doud is a contemporary French artist whose work delves into the primordial essence of humanity and its connection to the natural world. He sees art as an innate expression of human nature, a manifestation of our genetic predisposition to create legends and stories. Inspired by ancient prehistoric cave paintings, his compositions often combine these ancient forms with modern graffiti and tags, highlighting the intrinsic link between contemporary graphic expressions and their ancient counterparts. At the heart of his artistic philosophy is the concept of evolution, deeply influenced by the theories of Charles Darwin. Through his work, he seeks to remind viewers of humanity's humble origins and our interconnectedness with the larger natural world. Whether through whimsical depictions of unlikely characters or poignant reflections on the wonders of the universe, Doud's art invites contemplation of the ephemeral beauty and fragility of life on Earth.     Alberto Rafols-Casamada (Barcelona, 1923 – 2009), was a poet and painter. Rafols-Casamada began his studies in architecture but abandoned them to dedicate himself fully to the visual arts, thanks to the support of his father, Albert Ràfols i Cullerés. The painter was awarded the National Prize for Plastic Arts by the Ministry of Culture in 1980, the National Prize for Visual Arts of Catalonia in 2003 and was an honorary academic of the Royal Academy of Fine Arts of San Fernando.
