Born in 1974 in Dinan, Doud lives and works in Brittany. Loic Doud is a contemporary French artist whose work delves into the primordial essence of humanity and its connection to the natural world. He sees art as an innate expression of human nature, a manifestation of our genetic predisposition to create legends and stories. Inspired by ancient prehistoric cave paintings, his compositions often combine these ancient forms with modern graffiti and tags, highlighting the intrinsic link between contemporary graphic expressions and their ancient counterparts. At the heart of his artistic philosophy is the concept of evolution, deeply influenced by the theories of Charles Darwin.
