Lois Tarin Doud - Classic Shaman (2025)

Attention! Start session for bidding for this lot.

Loïc Tarin Doud seeks to capture and convey the figure of modern man within the original natural world, the innate human need for expression, and our propensity to create and transmit myths and legends, this desire to leave a trace, a word, an echo of our experiences. He observes their faces through a kaleidoscope of perspectives. His almost cubist portraits intertwine with cold modern iconography and ancestral animal figuration. He exteriorizes the ephemeral nature of our subjective perception of the present and our modest place in time. His visual language incorporates spontaneous cave figuration with the most satirical and cynical urban expressions of graffiti/street art. This paradoxical cohabitation of ancient memories and contemporary visualizations forms a kind of anachronistic vestige of the future that manifests the continuous evolution of the creative gesture. Born in 1974, Loïc Tarin Doud lives and works in France (Bretagne)…. Classic Chaman - 90x30 cm - Acrylic, Pigment, Pencils on Linen (Châssis)
