Extraordinary original lithograph on wove paper, published by LLA, c. 1985. Numbered in pencil 391/500 and signed on plate (in a special way, see photos, and back). An iconic Artwork of art by the great artist, in very good condition. It has a barely noticeable wrinkle on the top right. On the back of the lithograph: 'Exquisite recreations in a Limited Edition Lithographic print, bearing a Fascimile [Equivalent to 'Giclée'] Signature'. André Malraux, writer, intellectual and essayist, and then Minister of Culture of France, wanted something unique and decided that Chagall would be the ideal artist. This choice caused some controversy, but in the end the Artwork was admired, during the artist's lifetime, and is currently restored. Chagall lived the artistic effervescence of the Paris of Picasso, Blaise Cendrars and many artists of the late 19th and early 20th centuries, being a participant, with his unclassifiable style and talent, and his extraordinary use of color. A tribute to the great masters of music. Marc Chagall (1887-1985) is a renowned painter of the modern era and a prominent colorist, and it is precisely his use of color in the dome of the Opera that gives us the key to discovering much of his fascinating Artwork. High quality white paper. Dimensions: 65cm x 89cm
