Marcela Jardón, born in Buenos Aires, Argentina, (based in Barcelona since 2000) is a multidisciplinary artist whose Artwork is characterized by the absence of realistic descriptions in her landscapes and a non-linear narrative, which invites the observer to experience a personal connection with the settings. Technically, she uses acrylic with various densities and opacities, applying successive glazes in a process of controlled experimentation. Training and Career She trained at the National School of Fine Arts of the National University of the Arts in Argentina, where she obtained her degree in 1988. Since 2000, she has lived and Artworked in Barcelona. Her exhibition career spans America, Europe and Asia, highlighting her participation in art fairs such as Art Karlsruhe, C.A.R. Ruhr, estampa, ArtMadrid, and Arte in Nuvola, among others. Recent exhibitions include: 2024: Art Madrid (Spain), West Station Gallery (Denmark) 2023: Art Karlsruhe (Germany), Luxemburg Art Fair (Luxembourg) 2022: Estampa (Spain), C.A.R. Awards Marcela Jardón has been the winner and finalist of multiple international prizes and competitions, such as the International Drawing Competition of the Fundació Ynglada-Guillot, the Painting Prize of the University of Murcia, the Ciutat de Barcelona Prize - AGBAR 2024, the XX Contemporary Painting Competition "CASIMIRO BARAGAÑA", the LV International Art Competition of Luarca, the International Painting Prize "Ciudad de Aayamonte", the XXXVIII Sanvisens Painting Competition of Sitges, in 2024. Collections and Publications Her Artworks are part of public collections in institutions such as the National Library of Spain, the University of Valencia, the Specialized Library in Contemporary Photography of the Forvm Foundation for Photography, in Tarragona, the University of Panama, The University of the West of England, Department of Creative Arts, Centre for Fine Print Research, Bristol. It has received coverage in specialized media and prominent artistic publications.

Drawings for the magazine Escrivim a les parets – Revista de les Arts (Balaguer), the weekly L’Eco de Sitges, El Món (Barcelona), and Bonart magazine (2003). Experimented in the field of music, accompanied by pianist Charles Miles. Since 2003 he has collaborated with articles in Bonart, Diari Avui, Nou Diari, Revista del Center de Lectura de Reus, Diari de Tarragona, El Punt, Caldodecultivo (Tarragona), Més Tarragona, Entitats, the visual poetry magazine Veneno (Córdova), Letras Travestidas (Uruguay).
