Author: MARÍA ASSUMPCIÓ RAVENTOS I TORRAS (Sant Sadurní dÁnoia, Barcelona, 1930). Title: "Violí i sheet music". Description: Oil and acrylic on canvas. Signed in the lower right corner. Also signed and titled on the back. No completion date. Measurements: 33cm x 41cm x 3.5cm. María Assumpcío Raventós i Torras, studied at the Sant Jordi School of Fine Arts in Barcelona, furthered her studies in engraving and lithography at the Friedlaender workshop (Paris) and at the Smithsonian Institute in Washington D.C. He also made a trip to the East to study Japanese engraving. He has held more than twenty individual exhibitions since 1955, mainly in Spain, although he has also held them outside our borders. She is represented at the MACBA in Barcelona, at the Museum of Contemporary Art in Madrid, at the Rufino Tamayo in Mexico and at the International Museum of Fine Arts in Guinea. He has received numerous awards, including the Sant Jordi Cross and the "Investigació de Noves Formes Expressives" grant from the Generalitat de Catalunya.

She is a multidisciplinary artist who has been able to express herself in all the languages at hand. Drawing, painting, engraving..., are the means that she has used for a long time to produce a Artwork of high artistic level, which consolidates her as one of the most important artists of our time.
