María Moreno, "Mozart on the Road," 2016, oil on canvas, mixed media.
It comes hand-signed on the back with a certificate of authenticity.
In this Artwork, I fused two forces that have always guided my creative process: nature and music.
My intention was to represent how classical music, especially Mozart's, feels alive, organic, as if it were growing from the earth itself. The forest symbolizes eternity, that which remains; the composer's face emerges from the branches like an immortal echo, reminding us that great masterpieces continue to breathe in our natural world.
The oil palette combines deep green and ochre tones with soft glazes that envelop the scene in a contemplative atmosphere. Mozart's figure does not appear explicitly but is integrated into the texture of the landscape, inviting the viewer to discover it slowly, like someone listening to a melody that reveals itself note by note.
