    Author: Martín Carral (Meruelo-Santander, 1959). Title: Metropolitan structure - 69. Description: oil on metal made in 1989 by the artist Martín Carral. Measures without frame 55x46 cm. Trained at the "Llotja", Barcelona School of Arts and Crafts, he graduated from the Faculty of Fine Arts of the University of Barcelona. His Artwork evolves from a figurative painting with an expressionist nuance, towards a constructive abstraction within the field of reductionist art. With very urban forms, it shows elements of industrialization, until reaching some invented architectures and mechanical artifices based on geometric superimpositions, creating three-dimensional metaphorical spaces. He also Artworks sculpture where the symbiosis between painting and volume is seen. Part of the solid geometric block, where the pictorial matter coexists with the surface of the stone, organizing compositions of juxtaposed planes. The set gives its pieces a fully contemporary visual and aesthetic reading. He has won numerous awards and scholarships and his Artwork has been widely disseminated through numerous individual and group exhibitions.
