Michel Campistron is an artist… A painter, he didn't decide to exhibit his Artwork until he was twenty, both in France and abroad (Florence, Barcelona, Madrid). Always inclined to imbue his Artwork with meaning, his pieces, where fluidity and matter collide, evoke moments in time, "the inevitable and becoming." A certain austerity, the somber atmosphere emanating from his creations, allows him to claim an affiliation with the Catalan school of Tàpies, Millarès, Valdés, Juana Frances, or the influence of artists like Anselm Kiefer. Today, materials occupy a central place in his Artwork, and, always in search of new experiences, Michel Campistron is moving towards the role of visual artist, rather than that of painter. His Artwork is represented in several public collections in France and abroad. Michel Campistron, born in 1958, lives and Artworks in Mouchan, France.
