Miquel Barceló: "Despinturas" 2010

Attention! Start session for bidding for this lot.

Author: Miquel Barceló. Title: Unpaintings. Description: Offset reproduction on 250 gsm Old Mill Bianco paper of an original Artwork. The Artist's Notebook corresponding to volume N of Matador was created by Miquel Barceló and comprises two series of Artworks created in 2009 and 2010. In both, the artist paints without paint. In the first, Barceló uses bleach, which he applies to black cardboard, paper, or canvas. The bleach acts as a developer, creating an image by bleaching the black background. The second series begins with canvases blackened by soot from the mouth of a ceramic kiln in his Mallorcan Artworkshop, onto which the artist subsequently draws by removing color. Dimensions without frame: 40 x 30.5 cm. ArtArtwork in perfect condition. Printed on both sides.
