"David and Bathsheba", 2020. Certificate of authenticity available and studio seal. La Monja Hammond is a multifaceted and tremendously urban artist, performer, painter and musical composer. He develops contemplative abstraction from a style very characteristic of the Spanish pictorial school. Finalist for the 2015 Artslant Prize in New York, painting. Training - Nieves Solana Studio (Madrid), Rietvelt Academie of Amsterdam, plastic arts; UCLA University, Los Angeles, film direction, Escuela de la Palma (Madrid), mural painting. Individual and group exhibitions. Emerging Artist Award Alie Festival 2019. Speaker at "Project Clinic" 2022, Cráter Jornadas, Community of Madrid. Lately, he combines his artistic activity with media and television appearances.

A large-format Cubist composition featuring a grand piano, cello, violin, trumpet, French horn, and guitar, alongside scores by Beethoven and Chopin, on a checkered floor in white and gray. The artist breaks down the instruments into overlapping geometric planes of vibrant colors (ochres, golds, grays, and reds), in a pictorial homage to music and Synthetic Cubism.
