Paulino L.Tardón, Título: Nereida de Viaje, óleo sobre lino de 81.100 cm en bastidor profesional de madera de pino larguero en el centro en el sentido de la altura. Lleva un marco artesano de 5 cm ancho madera DM de 20mm de grueso. Tiene una textura acanalada realizada con pintura plástica. El color final es en tono marfil Las nereidas es un ser perteneciente al mundo de la mitología y viven en el mar. Se las representa como mujeres hermosas de pelo rubio, Otra especie son las sirenas de las que se ha escrito mucho y hay quien dice haberlas visto. En mi cuadro va sobre un delfín que lleva a su lado a una cría. En ese momento pasan por un sitio de escasa profundidad por ello se ven, aparte de animales propios de su entorno, objetos de diversa índole, de barcos hundidos y arrastrados por las corrientes. Como signo de modernidad se divisa en el cielo un satélite de tres aspas. Este cuadro fue expuesto por selección en el Centro Cultural de la Cañada en Madrid en el 2014, con motivo del 2º Salón del reencuentro, organizado por AEPE (Asociación Española de Pintores y Escultores)

    Alberto Rafols-Casamada (Barcelona, 1923 – 2009), was a poet and painter. Rafols-Casamada began his studies in architecture but abandoned them to dedicate himself fully to the visual arts, thanks to the support of his father, Albert Ràfols i Cullerés. The painter was awarded the National Prize for Plastic Arts by the Ministry of Culture in 1980, the National Prize for Visual Arts of Catalonia in 2003 and was an honorary academic of the Royal Academy of Fine Arts of San Fernando.
