Pepo Cantos 1940-1998 Alicante, pintor autodidacta con una consolidada carrera artística. Ha expuesto en Europa y América. Su obra causa admiración entre las nuevas generaciones y se sigue mostrando en colecciones, entre las últimas exposiciones, " Gente ,personajes y personas" Alfaz del Pi 1999, " Por dentro y por fuera" Centro de las Artes, Alicante 1999." Vagones de Libertad" Renfe 2000, " Sus mundos" Plaza Toros Alicante 2002. Diario Información Alicante 2014. "Homenaje " El Claustro 2018 " Curiosidad" de Pepo Cantos ( 1988) La obra está pintada con la técnica del temple que el mismo pintor preparaba con sus pigmentos, pertenece a una serie en la cual reservaba espacios blancos desde el principio para las luces, quedan pocos cuadros de ésta colección. El género es un desnudo , trata de una pareja en su intimidad, cómodos y relajados, la mujer parece desperezarse y el hombre observa su vientre, hizo varias versiones del mismo tema con marcados rasgos cubistas , una de ellas de gran formato titulada " El hombre globo" en manos privadas. Ésta obra se encuentra en el estudio del pintor guardada en carpeta.

    Alberto Rafols-Casamada (Barcelona, 1923 – 2009), was a poet and painter. Rafols-Casamada began his studies in architecture but abandoned them to dedicate himself fully to the visual arts, thanks to the support of his father, Albert Ràfols i Cullerés. The painter was awarded the National Prize for Plastic Arts by the Ministry of Culture in 1980, the National Prize for Visual Arts of Catalonia in 2003 and was an honorary academic of the Royal Academy of Fine Arts of San Fernando.
