Pepo Cantos 1940- 1998. Nacido en Alicante con formación artística en París. Exposiciones por Europa y América. Ha retratado grandes personalidades y realizado decorados para Teatro y TV. Le han concedido varios premios de pintura, su obra está en las más prestigiosas entidades públicas y colecciones privadas. " Mujeres del pueblo" de Pepo Cantos ( 1995) Se trata de un dibujo realizado a sanguina, sobre papel de color, con un estilo figurativo y realista el pintor nos muestra una composición minuciosa en los detalles que trata con cariño, es un grupo de mujeres del entorno rural del norte de España con sus típicos zuecos, están como esperando a alguien o despidiendo, una de ellas alza la mano a sus ojos para divisar mejor. La escena es entrañable y apropiada en una decoración con un toque rústico y campestre.
