Ramon Vinyes (Ribes de Freser, Girona 1948) He studied Technical Engineering, Architecture and Industrial Design in Barcelona. He devoted himself entirely to artistic creation from a very early age, alternating painting with sculpture, always in avant-garde trends, which led him to incorporate very diverse materials into his work. His personality stands out, identified in painting with kinetic art, rooted in dreams, and in sculpture with Gargallo's inventions. The fruit of this trend is the corporeal work that he carries out to incorporate architecture, both indoors and outdoors, by assembling iron bands, with which he achieves figurations of vague reference and a moderately expressionist sense. In 1970, he founded the design studio called Ismo Unidad Plástica, where, under his direction, a team carried out multiple works in which the design reached very remarkable levels of originality. He leaves this experience in 1975, to give himself to a new company, called Foto Agencia Gráfica. His plastic conception elevates the mechanical to the category of very personal plastic work, which finds wide echo in the most diverse media. Progress along this line, and his design tasks, accredited mainly in Barcelona, jump to Italy. The experience with industrial materials led him to further refine his purely personal creation, in a concise neo-baroque style, tangent with expressionism, of great beauty. His work is represented in outstanding architectural fields in Spain and Italy and in official and private entities.
