René Monzón (Pozas): "Era un nublado en el lago". Año 1996. Oleo sobre tela, 68 x 60. Estado conservación muy bueno. Obra Hiperrealista de su primera etapa en España. René MONZON RELOVA es un artista nacido en La Habana en 1966. René Monzón se formó en La Habana (Cuba) como Ingeniero Superior Industrial, profesión que decidió dejar de lado para dedicarse por entero a la pintura. De formación artística autodidacta por increible que parezca, su obra inicialmente impresionista evolucionó centrándose en el paisaje como tema principal, donde plasma un realismo fotográfico, donde la luz, serenidad y profundidad de los campos imaginarios envuelven la mirada del espectador y le invitan a abstraerse hasta descubrir lo pequeños que somos. "Mirar a lo lejos la naturaleza desborda mi obra, copiar un paisaje no me sirve, no me satisface. Creo en la naturaleza imaginada, modelada... porque es más interesante descubrir que por mucho que imagines, siempre existe un lugar como el que pensaste. Cada paisaje es un diálogo previo con los árboles, los ríos, los caminos, las colinas; tenemos que ponernos de acuerdo, la composición es importante. Las formas, las curvas que dibujan el horizonte o el límite donde comienzan o terminan los bosques, están deseosas de salirse de los cuadros." René Monzón Relova (Pozas). Quizás las formas y las curvas están deseosas de salirse de los cuadros tal como poetiza Pozas sobre su obra, aunque personalmente me han invitado siempre a entrar en ellos y formar parte de esos maravillosos paisajes en ocasiones oníricos, para ser ese personaje que descubrimos escondido debajo de alguno de sus maravillosos árboles, y tener la oportunidad de pasear descalza en caricia de su suave césped. René Monzón participa en varias exposiciones en su Cuba natal donde el reconocimiento de su obra llega a ser internacional. Sus obras forman parte de colecciones privadas de Italia, España, Venezuela, Estados Unidos y Méjico. En 1995 viaja a España y se instala en Madrid junto a su familia donde continua con sus creaciones ayudando mediante sus obras a valorar la belleza y la grandeza de lo que todavía hoy podemos llamar naturaleza. En España sus obras se subastan en las principales galerías de subastas del país como las Salas Ansorena, Retiro, Duran o Arte Segre de Madrid y de Méjico; y ha expuesto en galerías como: la Galería Jaime II de Palma de Mallorca, Galería Quinta del Berro de Madrid, Galería Zorrilla de Ponferrada, Galería El Espinar de Madrid, Galería San Pedro de Madrid, Sala de Exposiciones BBVA de Oviedo, Museo Casa de Arte de Méjico, en la Cumbre del Desarrollo Social de Dinamarca, Galería Orígenes de Cuba, Galería Habana de Cuba, entre otras.
