Descripción: técnica mixta sobre madera realizada en 2004 por el artista santcugatense Sergi Barnils. Medidas sin marco 90x90 cm. Se adjunta certificado de autenticidad. Obra en buen estado de conservación. Sergi Barnils, (Bata – Guinea Ecuatorial-1954) es uno de los artistas de Sant Cugat que durante la década de los 90, se ha dado a conocer principalmente en Italia y Alemania. Barnils trabaja entre Sant Cugat, Tossa de Mar y Milán (Italia), en donde tiene taller abierto. Canals, Galería d’Art lo dio a conocer a principios de los años '90. Su lenguaje pictórico se basa en las raíces más primitivas y colores contundentes, su atracción por el paisaje en etapas iniciales, se transforma en un abandono de la representación, para desarrollar una síntesis espacial. Un diálogo entre el dibujo, la geometría y el simbolismo, donde se pueden observar las fuentes de nuestra tradición, en especial del mundo medieval. Obras que elabora con una técnica paciente y meticulosa, de superposición de capas con transparencias, de rascado y rayado. Su obra se encuentra repartida por numerosos museos y colecciones particulares de Alemania, Italia, Austria, Holanda, entre otras y ha realizado numerosas exposiciones.
