“...¡A menudo, vivir en un lugar, una ciudad, es olvidarla mientras que uno vive allí! Hice esta observación hablando aquí y allá. ¡Alicante en España, donde realizo exclusivamente mis fotografías, es, a menudo, una ciudad ruidosa! Múltiples culturas "chocan", resuenan y conviven. Es un lugar de emociones extraordinarias. Dar a sentir, a descubrir, para ver estas sensaciones dadas, aquí o allá, por la calle, los lugares, las cosas, los paisajes y las personas que sorprenden, asombran y viven ; mí son requisitos esenciales. Me gusta sugerir estas vidas múltiples, ordinarias o extraordinarias, las libertades reales o supuestas de esos lugares y vidas que se cruzan. Al "disfrazar" la realidad con mis fotografías, sugiriendo un "detalle esencial" aquí o allá, proponiendo una expresión "original"; ¡Sugiero algunos otros universos o interpretaciones!     Alberto Rafols-Casamada (Barcelona, 1923 – 2009), was a poet and painter. Rafols-Casamada began his studies in architecture but abandoned them to dedicate himself fully to the visual arts, thanks to the support of his father, Albert Ràfols i Cullerés. The painter was awarded the National Prize for Plastic Arts by the Ministry of Culture in 1980, the National Prize for Visual Arts of Catalonia in 2003 and was an honorary academic of the Royal Academy of Fine Arts of San Fernando.
